After reading many positive reviews and on the advice of a friend we decided finally to book in this restaurant. The booking is done via email (nobody answers the phone) and is quite difficult. We are certainly not encouraged by the staff to make a reservation but we are equally able to find a free table by booking it ten days in advance. Unfortunately the restaurant does not live up to expectations. It is not possible to choose à la carte, but a four-courses "surprise" menu is offered. It’s however fine for us, and we also ordered a dish (pasta with tomatoes sauce) for our child. The main problem is that the price (48 euros per person without drinks) is not at all proportionate to what is offered by the restaurant. As an entrance we received a simple spinach soup ( nothing special, very small, maybe three or four spoons, no more), an appetizer consisting of a little green salad with red turnips and a very, very small piece of lake fish, finally two two slices of crispy crust chicken (good) with chard, pumpkin and onions. A dessert at the end, good but also very common: parfait and chocolate cake. Admitted that the ingredients are regional and organic, the price for a meal with these (not expensive) ingredients is absolutely excessive. Not to mention that the service is slow and that even 30 minutes passed between the courses. Maybe they call it a meditative break, it seems to us more like a poorly organized kitchen. Final bill with two beers, one glass of wine and and the pasta for the child (by the way: the pasta was not good at all): 124 euros. If you want to taste the true flavors of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, go to one of the many Imbisses in the region and buy a smoked fish sandwich and leave these kind of „Gasthof“ for people who don't know what it's like to eat regional food and spend the right amount of money.

An incredibly delicious and creative cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. The former school building has been lovingly renovated according to ecological principles. The clay oven donates a cozy warmth in winter. We will come back.

We went to eat at Tenzo on October 10th. As a starter we had fish soup with pumpernickel, salad with warm goat cheese, etc. As a main course beef fillet with paprika cream, jus, porcini mushroom tortilla and vegetables, as well as Carwitz pike fillet with Riesling sauce, grapes, selerie puree and salad. The starter and main course were a poem. The taste buds went crazy, so to speak. Food at the highest level. From the dessert, matcha mousse with passion fruit sauce, ginger ice cream parfait and grapefruit I still dream today. Good-humored and relaxed service. Simply fantastic, thank you Markus Sapion the cook and team.

Great restaurant, great individual rooms. Organic, regional, seasonal, temperated. Wonderful staff and wonderful customers. The whole area is very quiet. Many little lakes to swim and many lonely roads and tracks to ride a bike.

I highly recommend the Tenzo Inn. The culinary experience also justifies a further journey. The dishes are extremely tasty and sometimes surprisingly exceptional. Despite the elevated level, the atmosphere is relaxed and cozy. The service is very friendly and attentive.

Four of us stayed in a spacious apartment under the roof and felt very comfortable. The owners are very straightforward and friendly, the breakfast sumptuous and excellent! We'll be back!

Very nice rooms, a great, not too lavish menu we were very pleased during our rest on the bike ride. In the morning there was a nice breakfast in the garden. It was heavenly!

Tenzo is a restaurant that you should definitely visit. You are first greeted by a warming stove that was built in afterwards. Remember that you are in the former village school. The blackboard was to the left of the entrance ... the boss will be happy to tell you more about that. The advice on the menu selection was great! I suffer from severe allergies and the advice, as well as the knowledge, was first class! You will be surprised when the food is served. When you consider how simple the building itself is, the way it is arranged is all the more surprising. The priorities are in the right place here, namely on the plate 👍 And the taste ...... unique. I also learned in gastronomy, health resort ..... But such a great station wagon is awesome. That's what I call passionate cooking. The price is sure to make some people swallow, but it's definitely worth it, as the guys in the kitchen have a lot of points in the star kitchen. So, start the engine and let's go !!!!!

Very pleasant restaurant you can eat rustic dishes or upscale than 3 course menu. Competent and friendly service. The dessert could have been more balanced with a bit more acidity, the main course in the menu more representative of everything else great.
